Metal Recycling Machine
8/24/2011Recycling is a big part of many green productions and businesses. Some businesses in fact are nothing more than recycling. Metal recyclers, for instance, build an entire enterprise around scrapping and selling old metal. For this business they need to have a number of different metal recycling machines on hand.
Crane
Though not a metal recycling machine itself, cranes are often used as part of the metal recycling process. Cranes are used to lift large amounts of metal to put them into other machines or to rearrange large bundles of metal. Cranes can use hook and pulley systems, but they can also use electromagnets to lift up large amounts of scrap metal for deposition elsewhere into a recycling machine or to stack the scrap elsewhere.
Aluminum Shredder
Aluminum shredders take aluminum and tear it into small shreds. This is an important part of the recycling process for metal recyclers, because the aluminum has to be rendered into smaller pieces before it can be melted down and turned back into aluminum that can be used for making fresh materials. These shredders are more often used by companies that tear the metal apart and then melt it down right there on the premises than by scrap yards that sell aluminum to larger recycling companies.
Alligator Shears
Alligator shears help disassemble large pieces of metal for recycling. The shears cut larger pieces of metal, or larger materials, into smaller ones that can then be cut up into even smaller pieces. These smaller pieces can then be melted down and recycled. Alligator shears can be used to cut down large frames from cars, sheet metal and other items.
